How safe are cruise ships?

How safe are cruise ships? I’ve been on at least 10 cruises and they are my favorite way to vacation. Cruises are also usually cheaper than a plane ticket to a destination a cruise ship can take you. Plus food and board are included plus plenty of fun activities to do on the ship. Over the past five years ive heard about a lot of people falling off cruise ships and dying. I don’t know why anyone would be getting close to the railing or climbing it. It is so dumb. I remember one cruise I went on I saw this girl sitting on the railing for a picture and warned her how dangerous that was. After I said that she continued posing on the railing even in a backwards pose. I got scared just watching her. Usually people like to drink a lot of alcohol on cruises which may account for horseplay around the edges. I decided to blog about the dangerous of cruises after coming across the news that a 24 year old cruise ship worker Rebecca Coriam was missing off the Disney cruise ship called Wonder. They searched the ship multiple times and couldn’t find her. According to Rebecca’s sister Rebecca was a fun loving sister and loved her job as a Youth Activities worker on the cruise ship. This makes it hard to believe that Rebecca jumped off board. Her family believes somebody took her or something happened. However on a website, one crew member reported seeing Rebecca jump off board at 3am but the claim could not be verified. I was planning on trying to work on a cruise ship when I graduated but stories like this scare me. How safe do you think cruise ships are?

My thoughts on internet dating.

I hate when people are so against online dating and say how desperate people are to look for love online. I disagree. 1 out of 5 relationships now start online. And I think it was a great tool for people who are to busy to go out to meet people. Also there are tools to link you with people you are compatible with based on questions. Sure online dating can be dangerous but everything can be dangerous right? I’ve meet a couple of married couples who met online. I actually got curious and signed up for a free dating website called OKcupid.com and met a guy for a hike (which I don’t recommend on the first date, it was my idea) . We ended becoming great friends. I haven’t found love through okcupid but then again I haven’t been on in a while. I want to share a funny story about my recently divorced aunt. She is a successful business woman and signed up for EHarmony and match.com. Funny thing is she had her daughter find guys for her on this website. She went on lots of dates including one memorable one. She went to a restaurant and was supposed to meet this guy at a bar. A guy started talking to her as soon as she walked in and she asked if his name was ( we will call him john) john? He said yes, it is John so my Aunt assumed it was her date. After five minutes of talking to him my aunt decided he was a creep and tried to get away from him by talking to another guy at the bar. The other guy at the bar said he was waiting for his date and it turned out he was the person my Aunt was supposed to meet all along!  She had a nice evening but decided he wasn't for her.  She went on many more dates after that and met some really nice guys. My aunt is taking a break because she is busy with work, but that does not mean she will give up finding love via the internet. It was a fun new dating my aunt never tried and I’m glad she did. My friends date found the perfect compatible wife from a dating website. I just have this hope. A good tip to internet dating is make sure to always meet in a public place the first couple of times you meet until you feel comfortable. Also( if you cant afford some of the fees for match.com and Eharmony try a free one like okcupid.com or plentyoffish.com. Although I heard plenty of fish is sometimes used as a booty call site”. I f anyone is reading please share any good or bad internet dating stories you have or your opinion.
